Mission

Make the AI era better for LGBTQ+ people — and make AI better because of us.

We do this three ways. We gather, in person and online, so no one has to be the only queer person in the room. We connect, so jobs, mentorship, and capital flow through our network. And we build — together — so the systems shaping the next era of computing reflect all of us.

Our values

  • Out, by default. Visibility is a strategy, not a side effect.
  • Technical & substantive. We bring real work, not just identity.
  • Intersectional. Queer is not monolithic. Neither are we.
  • Allies welcome. Show up, listen, contribute.
  • Joy is mandatory. We will have fun while we do this.
The team

Who's behind this.

Out in AI is run by volunteers — engineers, researchers, founders, and organizers giving their nights and weekends to make this work.
